About Dr. Maria Giles

Dr. Maria Giles is originally from the small town of Fort Valley, Virginia. Surrounded by woods, animals and close friends, she gained a love for agriculture, nature and small town community. Dr. Giles then got the opportunity to adventure out west where she completed a B.S. in Equine Sciences and earned her DVM at Colorado State University. After practicing as a mixed large animal veterinarian back in Virginia for 7 years, she started her own business that focuses on meeting various needs in this era of veterinarian shortage. She and her family relocated to Franklin County, PA at the end of 2022 where she continues serving as a relief veterinarian and providing various ambulatory services in underserved areas. She provides relief services to Mercersburg Veterinary Clinic where she enjoys soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography and working with the great team of staff to provide thorough care and communication for all MVC clients.
